Abstract
This paper includes a three-dimensional study about Rajgir, first one is Buddhist ethics and environment second is an environmental challenge, and the third views are related to green and sustainable eco-tourism opportunity. In order to explainBuddhist theory relating to environment it seems essential to explain the concept of environment, ecotourism and sustainable development in a specific place like Rajgir which is directly associated with the life of Buddha. Ecotourism has its presence as a significant part of tourism among travelers. The three pillars of sustainable development namely social, economic and environmental advantages is deliberated by it. Ecotourism comprises of a unique plethora of ecological marvels, also has high prospects itself as a hub of tourism attraction Therefore, ecotourism can be a significant tool for the economic development of this place.
