Abstract

Every person wants all round development of personality in his life. Education is one the instruments by which all round development of an individual occurs. Each individual differs from other individuals in the way of learning because everyone has their own style of learning. The main objective of this paper is to study the impact of learning style on the academic achievement of urban secondary school students. The paper is mainly  quantitative  in nature  and  the descriptive survey method was used.  The secondary school students of Jammu constitutes the population of this study.  The sampling used is in this study is the simple random sampling  technique and a sample of 124 urban secondary school students were selected. The inventory of learning style by S.K. Misra were used for the collection of data. The analysis of the data were done through the statistical technique regression. The result of the study revealed that learning style has significant impact on the academic achievement of the urban secondary school students.
