Abstract

Bancassurance refers to banks acting as corporate agents for insurers to distribute insurance products to bank customers. The study endeavors to analyze the effect of awareness level regarding bancassurance and its services among the bank customers on choice of Insurance products. Bancassurance has quickly gained momentum in India in the insurance sector. The bank clients, who are at the receiving end of the amenities, cooperatively provided by the banks and insurance companies is prejudiced by various factor while making the purchase and looks out for diverse limitations to judge their satisfaction levels with bancassurance. The present study analyses the awareness of bancassurance and its services from 100 respondents in Bengaluru city urban. After agents, banks are the favored medium of buying insurance because of banks assurance, cost efficacy, return on investment. Also, other major benefits like modernized policy info, ease in premium payments and quick claims receiving, which can be done through online avenues. most of the customers are willing to purchase their future insurance policies through the bancassurance.
