Abstract
Rubber is one of the most important crops grown in our country .The people of the State are highly motivated on seeing the benefit of rubber and thus the area is rapidly increasing year after year. The present production of dry rubber sheets stands at about 3000 metric tonnes annually, which is gradually increasing. The study, conducted in Dimapur District of Nagaland to assess the adoption level of rubber growers on recommended technologies. More than sixty percent of the respondents had medium to high level of adoption of recommended rubber cultivation practices. Most of the farmers were found to adopt on most of the technologies. Around three fourth of the respondents adopted the recommended method of field preparation in rubber cultivation. More than sixty five per cent of the respondents had adopted the technology on propagation by budded plants. The study results will be massive help of researchers and extension functionaries to improve the efforts in rubber cultivation practices in promoting the technologies.
