Abstract
Steam power is the superior and reliable source and is still the largest type of generating electricity and without this steam power face of contemporary society would be dramatically different from its present one. Coal is the prime fuel for all thermal plants. Hence due emphasis needs to be given for proper handling and storage of coal. Also it is very important to have a steady flow of this fuel to maintain uninterrupted power generation.
