Abstract
Plastic wastes are accumulating all over the world and lesser and lesser amount of them are being recycled and reused. Most of the common plastics remain untouched being unable to do anything with it. Hence, these waste plastics are to be effectively utilized. As a civil engineer we have to innovate something new related to this, which is a boon for civil engineering. So that various techniques have been incorporated in utilizing the inert plastics in construction activities. This project focuses on application of such plastic waste materials into useful replacements in the manufacture of bricks. This is one of the best ways to avoid the accumulation of plastic waste which is a non-degradable pollutant. This alternatively saves the quanta of sand and clay that has to be taken away for the production of bricks from the river beds and mines. The plastic waste is available in surplus quantity and hence the cost factor comes down.
